Here I Am

Here I Am, a new musical by Samantha Roberts and Christian Cantrell, begins its Off-Broadway run at AMT Theater March 1. The production will officially open March 8.

The modern love story is centered around social media, and the effect it has on interpersonal relationships and our self conception. Featuring an original book and score by Roberts and Cantrell, arrangements by Roberts, music supervision and orchestration by Cantrell, and direction by Roberts; the production is a true labor of two.

The cast features Roberts (Forget I Said Anything) as Scarlett, Christian Melhuish as Spencer, Cedrick Ekra (Powerline Road/ART) as Kyle, and Jasmyn Johnson as Camryn.

Rounding out the company are Melody Munitz (American Girl: Live!), Laney Yoo, Rachel Madson, Alysia Vastardis, Ebony Nixon, T Anthony (SLACabaret: Down the Rabbit Hole), Anthony Cangiamila, Brittany Lowery, Jake Thatcher, and Niko Granados.

“We are so excited to share this important story with the world!” said Roberts in a previous statement. "Here I Am is a story of many things, but most importantly, it is about redemption and forgiveness. Who is redeemable and deserving of love? Here I Am is beautiful, funny, dark, universal, and timely in an age of instant gratification.”
