The Muny production of the Tony-nominated Sister Act The Musical, which concludes the summer season at the outdoor St. Louis venue, runs August 14-20.

Directed and choreographed by Denis Jones, the cast features Bryonha Marie as Deloris Van Cartier, Mamie Parris as Mother Superior, James T. Lane as Eddie Souther, Alan H. Green as Curtis Jackson, Thom Sesma as Monsignor O'Hara, Meredith Aleigha Wells as Sister Mary Robert, Madeleine Doherty as Sister Mary Lazarus, Katy Geraghty as Sister Mary Patrick, Brandon Espinoza as Pablo, Darron Hayes as TJ, Rob Colletti as Joey, and Melanie Loren as the standby for the role of Deloris.

The ensemble includes Lexi Baldachino, Collin J. Bradley, Michele Burdette Elmore, Brady Foley, Talya Groves, Nigel Jamal Hall, Austin Wong Harper, Anita Jackson, Zakeyia Lacey, Janna Linae, Kaitlyn Mayse, Adelina Mitchell, Lizz Picini, Amber Alexandria Rose, Ronan Ryan, Gordon Semeatu, Cameron Monroe Thomas, and Rebecca Young.

The production also has associate choreography by Barry Busby, assistant choreography by Lizz Picini, and music direction by Sheilah V. Walker, who also conducts. The design team includes scenic designer Edward E. Hayes Jr., costume designer Leon Dobkowski, lighting designer Shelby Loera, sound designers John Shivers and David Patridge, video designer Kevan Loney, and wig designer Kelley Jordan plus production stage manager Larry Smiglewski.

Based on the Touchstone Pictures film Sister Act, written by Joseph Howard, the musical has a score by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, a book by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner, and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.

Sister Act played Broadway's Broadway Theatre March 24, 2011-August 26, 2012, officially opening April 20, 2011. The New York production earned five Tony nominations, including Best Musical.

The musical tells the story of a disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody, she is hidden in the one place she won’t be found: a convent.
