The Mint Theater's production Lillian Hellman's Days to Come has been extended and will now continue at Theatre Row through October 6. The Off-Broadway revival, directed by J.R. Sullivan, was previously scheduled to play a limited engagement through September 30.

Set against the backdrop of a labor strike in a small town in Ohio, the second play from the The Little Foxes playwright played on Broadway for just a week in 1936. The Mint's production, which will officially open August 26, marks the second revival in New York since the its short-lived Broadway debut.

Performances of Days to Come began August 2.

The cast is made up of Mary Bacon, Janie Brookshire, Larry Bull, Chris Henry Coffey, Dan Daily, Ted Deasy, Roderick Hill, Betsy Hogg, Kim Martin-Cotten, Geoffrey Allen Murphy, and Evan Zes.

In Days to Come, a labor strike in a small Ohio town threatens to tear apart both the community and family. “It’s the story of innocent people on both sides who are drawn into conflict and events far beyond their comprehension,” Hellman said in an interview in 1936. “It’s the saga of a man who started something he cannot stop…”

The Mint production features scenic design by Harry Feiner, costume design by Andrea Varga, lighting design by Christian DeAngelis, sound design by Jane Shaw, and prop design by Joshua Yocom. Casting is by Stephanie Klapper, CSA. Rod Kinter serves as fight director.

Hellman's plays include The Little Foxes, which was recently revived on Broadway starring Cynthia Nixon and Laura Linney, as well as Watch on the Rhine; Toys in the Attic; The Lark; and The Children's Hour.
