Due to an unexpected film commitment, Ryan Spahn will not be part of the November 15 and November 16 evening performances of Audible Theater's world premiere of Yilong Liu's Good Enemy at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

Drama Desk winner Michael Urie, most recently on Broadway in Chicken & Biscuits, will step in for Spahn; the two actors have been dating for over a decade.

Directed by Obie Award winner Chay Yew, Good Enemy officially opened November 6 following previews that began October 25. Read reviews here.

The cast features Obie winner Francis Jue, Ron Domingo (The American Pilot), Tim Liu (Nepotism), Geena Quintos (Soft Power), Alec Silver (Temping), Spahn (Moscow Moscow Moscow Moscow Moscow Moscow), and Jeena Yi (Network).

In Liu’s new play, Howard (Jue) makes a surprise cross-country trip to visit his college-age daughter, and he’s forced to confront the rift between them, one caused by Howard’s refusal to face memories of his life as a young man in China.

The production also features scenic design by Junghyun Georgia Lee, costume design by Mel Ng, lighting design by Reza Behjat, sound design by Mikhail Fiksel, and fight/intimacy direction by Dave Anzuelo/Unkle Dave’s Fight-House. Casting is by X Casting Victor Vazquez, and Merrick AB Williams is the production stage manager with technical supervision by Hudson Theatrical Associates and general management by Baseline Theatrical's Andy Jones and Jonathan Whitton.

Good Enemy will also be released as an Audible Original.

Performances continue through November 27.
