News Melissa van der Schyff to Reunite With Big River Co-Star for One-Night-Only Birdland Concert Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominee Melissa van der Schyff (Bonnie and Clyde) will perform an intimate concert of lush jazz standards, country classics and originals at Birdland Feb. 16 at 7 PM.

The singing actress will welcome guest performers Tony Award nominee Daniel Jenkins (Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins) and actress/ASL Master Alexandria Wailes (Big River, Mother Courage). The trio will offer Big River fans a medley of songs simultaneously sung and signed.

Also featured will be acclaimed Canadian jazz pianist Sharon Minemoto and virtuoso mandolin player Joe Brent.

Van der Schyff is a singer, actor and songwriter best known for originating the role of Blanche Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde, for which she garnered Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations. She made her Broadway debut as Mary Jane Wilkes in the 2003 Tony-nominated Deaf West/Roundabout revival of Big River.

Tickets are priced at $25, with a $10 food/drink minimum. Doors open at 5 PM.
