The first Broadway revival of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite, starring Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker, is checking out of Broadway's Hudson Theatre July 10. The limited engagement run began previews February 25 and officially opened March 28.

The production was originally planned for the spring 2020 season, but theatres shuttered just one day before previews were set to begin. Even in the 2022 run, positive COVID-19 cases among the show's stars led to show cancellations and subsequent extensions of the run to allow for audience ticket rescheduling.

John Benjamin Hickey directs the three-act comedy, which finds real-life couple Broderick and Parker playing three different couples each spending an evening in the famed Plaza Hotel: one couple dealing with difficulties in their marriage on their 24th anniversary, a pair of high-school sweethearts reuniting after many years apart, and the frenzied parents of a jittery bride on her wedding day.

Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony nominee Erin Dilly standby for Broderick and Parker, respectively, with Laurie Veldheer, Cesar J. Rosado, Brian Eng, and Olivia Hernandez serving as understudies.

The production features a set design by Tony winner John Lee Beatty, costumes by Tony winner Jane Greenwood, lighting by Tony winner Brian MacDevitt, sound design by Tony winner Scott Lehrer, and incidental music by Tony winner Marc Shaiman. General management is provided by 101 Productions, Ltd., and casting is by Jim Carnahan.

Meyer, Elizabeth Armstrong, Hunter Arnold, Caitlin Clements, Eilene Davidson Productions, Jeffrey Finn, Terry Schnuck, Smith and Brant Theatricals, Sherry and Kirk Wright, and Mike Isaacson.
