The Tony winner is currently starring in Broadway's The Notebook.

Clubbed Thumb is bringing its Deep Blue Sound back Off-Broadway for a return engagement at The Public Theater's Shiva Theater, with performances beginning February 25, 2025, ahead of a March 6 opening night. The limited run of the Abe Koogler play will continue through March 29. Arin Arbus will direct.

Tony winner and current Broadway The Notebook star Maryann Plunkett will reprise her Obie-winning performance from the play's 2023 run, part of the company's Summerworks series, along with fellow original cast members Armando Riesco, Crystal Finn, and Jan Leslie Harding, joined by newcomers Mia Katigbak and Danny Wolohan. Additional casting is to be announced.

Set on an island in the Pacific Northwest, the work centers on a community gathering called following the disappearance of a local pod of orca whales.

The production will feature scenic design by dots, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, and sound design by Mikaal Sulaiman. Caroline Englander will be production stage manager.
