...what the end will be by playwright Mansa Ra completes its world premiere run July 10. The Roundabout production, taking place Off-Broadway in the Laura Pels Theater at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, began previews May 12 and opened June 2.
The play follows three generations of men who live together as they handle and come to terms with what it means to each of them to be Black and gay. By exploring the relationships and perspectives of fathers and sons, the play explores themes of pride, pain, and patience.
The cast includes Emerson Brooks (The Last Ship), Gerald Caesar (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical), Randy Harrison (Atomic A New Musical), Keith Randolph Smith (Jitney), Ryan Jamaal Swain (Pose), and Tiffany Villarin (Do You Feel Anger?). Margot Bordelon directs.
