The vocal talents of Broadway veterans Martha Plimpton and Michael C. Hall are on display in the world premiere of Nudity Rider, an audio play by Hamish Linklater.
In the piece, Linklater plays a film actor who must appear in a nude scene with no notice, creating panic for the thespian. Plimpton and Hall appear as a make-up artist and production assistant, respectively.
Three-time Tony nominee Plimpton (Pal Joey, Top Girls, The Coast of Utopia) was last seen on Broadway in A Delicate Balance. Earlier this year, the performer appeared in the West End as Tracey in Lynn Nottage’s Sweat.
Hall’s Broadway credits include the lead roles in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Cabaret. He recently appeared in the one night–only production of Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical at Town Hall. Linklater appeared on Broadway in Seminar and is a two-time Drama Desk nominee for his work Off-Broadway.
Nudity Rider is produced by the Playing On Air podcast and directed Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Bernhardt/Hamlet).
