News Listen to Fiddler's New Yente, Alix Korey, Belt "I Dreamed a Dream," "Meadowlark" and Hilarious David Friedman Tune! Alix Korey, the acclaimed singing actress who boasts a piercing Broadway belt, will play Yente in the forthcoming revival of the classic American musical Fiddler on the Roof, which will begin previews Nov. 20 prior to an official opening Dec. 20 at The Broadway Theatre.

Korey's stage credits include The Wild Party Off-Broadway and The Pirates of Penzance, Chicago and All Shook Up on Broadway.

Bartlett Sher, who most recently helmed the 2015 Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of The King and I, will direct with choreography by Hofesh Shechter, inspired by the original choreography of Jerome Robbins, and musical direction by Ted Sperling.

Danny Burstein will star as Tevye.
