Based on the Heather Morris novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz is an event series inspired by the real-life story of Jewish Holocaust survivors Lali and Gita Sokolov.

The cast of the series, which premieres May 2, features Jonah Hauer-King, Melanie Lynskey, Anna Próchniak, Jonas Nay, and Harvey Keitel.

The creative and producing team includes executive producers Claire Mundell, Adrian Burns and Mark Young (Synchronicity Films), and Serena Thompson (Sky Studios); director and co-executive producer Tali Shalom-Ezer; executive producer and writer Jacquelin Perske; associate producer and writer Evan Placey; writer Gabbie Asher; author and story consultant Morris; and composers Hans Zimmer and Kara Talve.

Streisand has recorded 52 gold, 31 platinum, and 13 multi-platinum albums, achieving No. 1 albums in each of the six consecutive decades. She is the only artist ever to receive Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Directors Guild of America, Golden Globe, National Medal of Arts, and Peabody awards, as well as France's Legion d’Honneur, the American Film Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and is the first female film director to receive the Kennedy Center Honors. In 2015, President Barack Obama presented her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
