Scott Siegel's Broadway by the Season series will continue April 29 at 7:30 PM at Merkin Hall.
The first half of the evening will celebrate the 1948–1949 season, while the second half will feature songs from the 1954–1955 season. Attendees can expect to hear tunes from Carousel; South Pacific; Where's Charley?; Kiss Me, Kate; Fanny; Plain and Fancy; Damn Yankees; and Peter Pan.
Interpreting the songs will be Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime), Grammy winner John Easterlin (The Phantom of the Opera), William Michals (South Pacific), Moipei, Ryan Knowles (The Lightning Thief), Danny Gardner (Dames at Sea), the Broadway by the Season Dance Troupe, and the Broadway by the Season Chorus.
Musical director and pianist Ross Patterson will lead The Ross Patterson Little Big Band.
Producer, director, writer, and host Siegel said in a statement, "I've assembled a cast of talented performers who can raise the roof at Merkin Hall, singing with or without a microphone (and sometimes they will, indeed, sing without microphones!). And with their talent, the legacy of Broadway's iconic music will be on full display. Simply put, the series presents great songs performed by great singers!"
Tickets may be purchased at the Merkin Hall box office or by calling (212) 501-3330.
