Feinstein’s/54 Below, the supper club located below Manhattan's Studio 54, will boast these events of interest to theatre folk the week of October 19–26:

October 19, 20, 21: Charles Busch: My Kinda 60s
The drag icon and playwright reinvents himself for his “coming out” return to cabaret. 7 PM Click here for details.

October 19: So in Love: The World’s Greatest Love Songs
Christiane Noll, Maxine Linehan, Megan McGinnis, and Laurel Harris sing love songs from many lands and eras, and in many different styles. 9:30 PM

October 20: The Late Comet: Shoba Narayan in SHOBusiness
The former Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 actor take a look back at melodies and stories associated with her life and career, featuring songs from Broadway musicals The Apple Tree, The King and I, Annie Get Your Gun, Side Show, as well as pop covers and compositions by Great Comet composer Dave Malloy. 11:30 PM Click here for details.

October 20: The Late Comet: Sumayya Ai
The former Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 actor will perform musical theatre songs, jazz, pop, opera fusion, and some of her original compositions from her upcoming album. 11:30 PM Click here for details.

October 22: 54 Best in Shows: A Benefit for the Humane Society of New York
Broadway performers will honor James L. Nederlander, president of The Nederlander Organization, who will be awarded the third annual Humane Society of New York’s Sandy Fund Award in recognition of “his deep concern and support of the needs of rescued animals.” The show will have music direction by Seth Rudetsky. 7 PM

October 23: The Songs of Matthew McCollum: Songs for the Dead
The composer, lyricist, and performer will host a haunting concert of songs and stories about ghosts. Co-starring Betsy Struxness (Hamilton, Shakespeare in Love), Maria-Christina Oliveras (Amelie, Pretty Filthy), Carly Zien (Nightcap), and others. 9:30 PM

October 24: Rose Kingsley Sings the Songs of Johnny Mercer
The former opera singer teams up with special guest Andrew Poretz to remember the lyricist of “Blues in the Night,” “Too Marvelous for Words,” “Come Rain or Come Shine,” and “On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe.” A portion of the ticket sales will go to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 9:30 PM

October 24: Lindsay Mendez and Ryan Scott Oliver’s Actor Therapy
Composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver (35mm, Darling) and Broadway actor Lindsay Mendez (Significant Other, Wicked, Dogfight, Godspell) host a master class for performers looking to “improve their auditions, build a better book, and expand their understanding of what it means to be an actor and song interpreter in New York today.” 11:30 PM

October 25: Broadway Bound: The Musicals That Never Came to Broadway, Part Two!
Alice Ripley, Klea Blackhurst, Loni Ackerman, Jill Paice, Amanda Green, Jim Walton, Todd Buonopane, Kara Lindsay, Carolyn Mignini, and Rita Gardner (the original Girl in The Fantasticks) among stars performing songs from shows that closed out of town or in development, written by the likes of Cy Coleman, Charles Strouse, Frank Loesser, Marvin Hamlisch, Carolyn Leigh, Richard Maltby Jr, David Shire, Barry Manilow, Bob Merrill, and Harold Rome.. October 26: The Broadway Tenors
To celebrate the release of their self-titled CD, The Broadway Tenors will sing a selection of hits from Broadway musicals. Among those taking part: Bren Barrett, Matt Cavenaugh, Telly Leung, Norm Lewis, Kyle Dean Massey, and Max Von Essen. 7 PM

October 26: New Musical: A Scythe of Time
Lesli Margherita (Matilda) will star in a showcase version of this original new musical with a book by Alan Harris, music and lyrics by Mark Alan Swanson, based on two stories by Edgar Allan Poe, about writers who record their experiences with taking their own lives. Also featured in the cast: Danny Rutigliano (The Lion King, Fiorello!), PJ Griffith, Brandon Brune, Bair Alexis Brown, Emily Claire Hughes, Matt Denglar, Jesse Schuff, and Lance Olds. 9:30 PM
