The play is based on the same short story—"Rear Window" by Cornell Woolrich—that inspired the Alfred Hitchcock film, a 1954 Academy Award nominee. According to press notes, the play "is the classic story of a man confined to his apartment who thinks he may have witnessed a murder in a nearby building." Bacon made his Broadway debut with Slab Boys in 1983, and returned in 2002 with An Almost Holy Picture. He won an OBIE Award for Forty Deuce. He is a Golden Globe Award winner and Emmy Award nominee whose films include "Footloose," "A Few Good Men," "Apollo 13," "Murder in the First," "JFK," "The Woodsman," "X-Men: First Class," "Sleepers," "The River Wild" and his current work, "Cop Car."

The production has scenic design by Alexander Dodge, costume design by Linda Cho, lighting design by York Kennedy, sound design by Jane Shaw, projection design by Sean Nieuwenhuis and fight choreography by Steve Rankin.

The production stage manager is James Harker.
