News Keir Dullea and Mia Dillon Tapped for On Golden Pond at Bucks County Playhouse; Further Season Announcements Bucks County Playhouse has announced that real-life married couple Golden Globe winner Keir Dullea ("2001: A Space Odyssey") and Mia Dillon ("Law & Order") will star as the iconic leading couple in its staging of On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson.

On Golden Pond was last seen on Broadway in 2005 and tells the story of an elderly couple who enjoy their summer in a cottage on Maine Lake, coming to terms with the passing of time and estranged family relationships. Dullea made his mark on Broadway in the 1969 play Butterflies Are Free and returned three more times, most recently in Doubles in 1985.

"We are thrilled to welcome Keir Dullea and Mia Dillon to New Hope," said Alexander Fraser, Playhouse Producing Director in a press statement. "I saw them two years last in Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival’s production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and invited them to the Playhouse."

On Golden Pond will feature direction by Jonathan Silverstein, scenic design by Steven C. Kemp, Costume Design by Jennifer Paar, Lighting Design by Gina Scherr, and Sound Design by Obadiah Eaves.

The theatre also announced that John Augustine and Candy Buckley (Scandalous, Cabaret) will join the cast of the upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim's Company. The musical, directed by Hunter Foster and choreographed by Lorin Latarro, will play May 29-June 21.

Following On Golden Pond, Bucks County Playhouse will also stage The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with music and lyrics by William Finn and book by Rachel Sheinkin. Helmed by director Jessica Stone and choreographer Connor Gallagher, the musical tells the laugh-out-loud story of a group of overachievers and outsiders who find their place within a spelling contest. Tickets to Bucks County Playhouse productions start at $29 and can be purchased by calling (215) 862-2121 or online at bcptheater.org.
