Feinstein’s/54 Below, the 134-seat supper club located below Studio 54, will boast these events of interest to theatre folk the week of April 20–27.

April 20-23: Marilyn Maye: Carrying the Torch The veteran cabaret singer returns to the club for her 89th birthday concert. 7 PM

April 21: Christian De Gré: Mind The Art Entertainment—10 Year Anniversary Celebration The award-winning company behind Fatty Fatty No Friends, Beware the Chupacabra, and Whiskey Pants: The Mayor of Williamsburg, begins its 10-year anniversary celebration, with a showcase of works created by its international multidisciplinary artists. 9:30 PM

April 21: Sarah Naughton: Trapped in the Closet Actor Sarah Naughton takes audiences on an imaginative journey inside her bedroom closet-turned-recording studio as she shares tales from the unsung world of audiobook narration and reveals some of the most ridiculous books she has ever been paid to read out loud. 11:30 PM

April 22: Duets With the Write Teacher(s)–Volume 5 Conceived and produced by Megan Minutillo in association with Thewriteteachers.com, the evening will feature musical theatre songs, pairing one Broadway hopeful with one Broadway professional who has inspired them in their show business career. Among featured performers: Siri Howard (Les Misérables, The Sound of Music), Sydney Morton (American Psycho, Evita), Joaquina Kalukango (The Color Purple), Kathryn D. Allison (Aladdin), and Kate Loprest (First Date, Hairspray, Xanadu). 9:30 PM

April 22: Who Cares Cabaret Jamie Green hosts current college students performing songs from roles they wouldn’t normally play. Performers include Rachel Castaneda, Lucien Coppola, Evan Hussey, Claire Idstrom, Lexie Lieberthal, Brian Lundy, Mia Massaro, George Massood, Mitchell Matyas, Grace McLary, Caroline McQuaig, Grace Mincks, Emma Nardi, Taylor Newsom, Dante Pasquale, Kilraine Pinyard, Max Realyvasquez, Krosby Roza, Georgia Sackler, Nicolette Shin, Bradley Stein, Bryce Valle, and May Yoshioka. April 23: Swingin’ With The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber Original jazz charts of the composer’s showtunes, including “Memory,” “Herod’s Song,” “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “You’re In The Band,” and many more, performed by Harleigh Ford, Savannah Frazier, Jonathan Hawkins, Kristin Litzenberg, Briana Rapa, Liam Roberts, Tim Rogan, Rablo Rossil, Kyle Scatliffe, Sasha Weiss, and Jill-Christine Wiley. 9:30 PM

April 24: Mademoiselle Colombe in Concert Showcase of the score to the 1987 musical by Michael Valenti (Oh, Brother!) and Edwin Dulchin, based on the play of the same title by Jean Anouilh. Performed by a cast that includes Klea Blackhurst, Samantha Massell, Ben McHugh, Daniel Walstad, Christine Knitel, Roe Hartrampf, Ron Spivak, Topher Nuccio, and Jason Pintar. 7 PM

April 24: Joshua Morgan & Friends Morgan (Les Misérables) is joined by Broadway talent including Ryann Redmond, Nick Blaemire, Chris Dwan, Julian Decker, Brennyn Lark, and others for songs and stories celebrating their friendship and what brought Morgan to New York. 9:30 PM

April 25: Samantha Spade, Ace Detective: In Concert! Showcase of the score to the film noir musical with a music by Georgia Stitt and lyrics by Lisa Diana Shapiro. Featured performers include Caitlin Kinnunen, Adrienne Warren, and Marc Kudisch. 7 PM

April 25: The Great Broadway Belt Show Scott Siegel hosts Karen Mason, Cheryl Freeman, Christina Bianco and others who will render some of Broadway’s biggest “belt” numbers including “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls, “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, and “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl. 9:30 PM

April 26: 54 Sings Ed Sheeran Broadway stars sing numbers by the British singer-songwriter who wrote “A-Team,” “I’m A Mess,” “Happier,” and other songs. Performers include Alex Boniello (Spring Awakening), Ben Cook (Newsies, Tuck Everlasting), Kaitlyn Frank (Newsies), Michael Gioia, Sean Grandillo, Melissa Steadman Hart (Newsies), Meredith Inglesby (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast), and Jenna Ushkowitz (Waitress, Glee). Sheeran himself will not appear. 9:30 PM

April 27-28: Ryan Raftery Is The Most Powerful Woman in Fashion Raftery performs the score of his musical based on the life of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. 7 PM

April 27: Soulpepper Theatre Company: A Canadian Cabaret Founding Artistic Director Albert Schultz, joins Mike Ross, Jackie Richardson and others for an evening of story and song, including selections from the Canadian songbook and contemporary numbers. 9:30 PM

Named for co-owner Michael Feinstein and Studio 54, the one-time disco and current Broadway theatre in whose basement the club is located, Feinstein’s/54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street in Manhattan.

Karen Mason has been a special guest performer on two of Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises. Playbill’s inaugural river cruise along the Rhône River in May 2017 is sold out, but cabins are available for the Rhine River cruise in August 2017, featuring Seth Rudetsky, Andréa Burns, Faith Prince, Terrence Mann, Charlotte d’Amboise, and Santino Fontana.
