Off-Broadway News J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company's Revival of Jule Styne's Do Re Mi Begins Performances April 19

The 1960s musical is directed by Robert W. Schneider.

The J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company production of Do Re Mi begins performances April 19. Robert W. Schneider directs the 1960s musical, playing Midtown's AMT Theater through April 28.

With a score by Jule Styne, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and a book by Garson Kanin, the show includes hit mid-century songs like “All of My Life” and "Make Someone Happy."

The cast is led by Ian Lowe and Rebecca Spigelman as Hubie and Kay Cramm, respectively, with Caitlin Belcik and Tyler Okunski as Tilda and Wheeler, respectively. They will be joined onstage by Eric Michael Gillett as Fatso, John Leone as Skin, and Richard Rowan as Brains. The ensemble will be rounded out by Caleb Funk, Mallory Nolting, and Kaylee Verble.

The production also features choreography by Andrew Winans, musical direction by Miles Plant, set design by Matthew Imhoff, costume design by Emily Geldermann, and dramaturgy by Frederick Miller. Casting is by Holly Buczek of Wojcik Casting.

Ben Hawkins will serve as stage manager, alongside Maria Papadopolous as assistant stage manager and Joey Paradise as production stage manager.
