Composer Ingrid Michaelson will take to the stage at Broadway's Schoenfeld Theatre August 27 to celebrate the release of her new pop album For the Dreamers (releasing November 23).

Presented after that day's performance of The Notebook, the exclusive performance will include four songs from the album. Tickets for that day's performance of The Notebook, which are required for admission to the post-show event, are available.

For the Dreamers is Michaelson’s first full-length solo record since 2019. Known for her distinct folk-pop style, Michaelson's music is released on the label she founded, Cabin 24 Records. She made her Broadway onstage debut in Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 and recently made her Broadway debut as a composer writing the music and lyrics for The Notebook.

Featuring a book by Bekah Brunstetter and a score by Michaelson, The Notebook follows Allie and Noah, who share a lifetime of love despite forces that threaten to pull them apart. The Broadway cast is led by Jordan Tyson as Younger Allie, Joy Woods as Middle Allie, and Tony winner Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie with John Cardoza as Younger Noah, Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah, and Dorian Harewood as Older Noah.

The production is co-directed by Michael Greif (Dear Evan Hansen, Next to Normal) and Schele Williams (Aida, The Wiz), with choreography by Katie Spelman.

The musical also has scenic design by David Zinn and Brett J. Banakis, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Mia Neal, and projection design by Lucy Mackinnon. The production’s music supervisor is Carmel Dean, who also collaborated on arrangements with Michaelson and on orchestrations with John Clancy, and the music director is Geoffrey Ko. Casting by The Telsey Office's Patrick Goodwin.

The production was recognized with three 2024 Tony nominations: Best Book of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical (Plunkett), and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical (Harewood).
