Set in a Pennsylvania town at the turn of the millennium, the characters in Sweat struggle to reclaim what has been lost following the nation’s industrial decline. When there is talk of layoffs among a group of factory co-workers and friends, their close bonds begin to shatter.
Performances are set to begin Off-Broadway October 18. Sweat will officially open November 3 and is scheduled to play through November 27.
Tickets can be accessed by calling (212) 967-7555, PublicTheater.org, or in person at the Taub Box Office at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street, New York.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
