Regional News Geffen Playhouse Begins New Podcast with Jeffery Tambor, Rita Wilson and More The weekly series will offer listeners a backstage glimpse of the California theatre company.

Jeffery Tambor, Rita Wilson, Rainn Wilson and more will hit the airwaves with Geffen Playhouse and PodcastOne’s new podcast. Geffen Playhouse Unscripted’s first episode became available on April 5 with special guest Wilson (The Office). The weekly podcast will give audiences of the renowned playhouse a glimpse backstage with stories and interviews from some of today’s top entertainers.

Later episodes will feature interviews with artists such as Emmy winner Jeffrey Tambor (Transparent), actress and music artist Rita Wilson, playwright and Geffen alum Neil LaBute, magician David Copperfield, Beth Behrs (Two Broke Girls), and Ron Cephas Jones (This is Us).

Along with interviews and personal stories from these artists, the Geffen plans to provide exclusive behind-the-scenes audio tours of its productions.

KPCC radio host and former Newsweek and Los Angeles Times journalist John Horn will serve as interviewer during these talks as the Geffen explores the creative process, the art of live storytelling, and personal stories from guests.

This new collaboration with PodcastOne is an exciting component of our ongoing commitment to share the joy of live theater to wider and more diverse audiences in new and innovative ways.”

Geffen Playhouse Unscripted is available now with a new episode scheduled every Wednesday. Audiences can find them at GeffenPlayhouse.org, PodcastOne.com, the PodcastOne app, and iTunes.
