Off-Broadway News Full Casting Revealed for TFANA's Orpheus Descending

The Tennessee Williams play will take the stage at Off-Broadway's Polonsky Shakespeare Center in July.

Full casting has been revealed for TFANA's upcoming Off-Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' Orpheus Descending, performing at Polonsky Shakespeare Center July 9-August 6. Erica Schmidt is directing.

As previously announced, the cast will be led by Maggie Siff as Lady Torrance and Pico Alexander as Valentine Xavier. The company will also include Pico Alexander, Molly Kate Babos, Michael Cullen, Matt DeAngelis, Gene Gillette, Laura Heisler, Prudence Wright Holmes, Brian Keane, Julia McDermott, Ana Reeder, Maggie Siff, Kate Skinner, Fiana Tóibín, James Waterston, and Dathan B. Williams.

The work follows two outcasts, a storekeeper's wife and a wandering guitar player, as they attempt to escape a Southern Hell.

Schmidt's creative team will include scenic designer Amy Rubin, costume designer Jennifer Moeller, lighting designer David Weiner, sound designer and composer Justin Ellington, physical movement coordinator Lorenzo Pisoni, prop supervisor Justin Cox, dramaturg John Lahr, voice director Andrew Wade, dialect coach Xavier Clark, and production stage manager Shane Schnetzler.
