The song is from the band's new album "Beautiful Monster," which was released Dec. 4.

"That song comes from a female stalker’s point-of-view," says Kyle. "The idea of writing songs from a strong twisted female perspective was always important to us. Not a lot of bands do that. When you typically hear a song about a woman longing for somebody she can't have, it's almost always from a position of weakness. This has strength and aggression to it. There's a frank female sexuality that Lauren captures."

"These songs are all characters," adds lead singer Lauren Worsham. "I feel like I’m stepping into a role with each one."

Driven by a distinct guitar gallop, the song quickly slides into a vaudevillian swing before climaxing on an unshakable refrain.

The video was directed by Tony nominee Sam Buntrock, who is also directing their concert/theatre hybrid which it is scheduled to run Feb. 16-March 19, 2016, Off-Broadway at Ars NovaTheatre.

Worsham's theatrical credits also include the New York City Opera production of Candide, the Goodspeed staging of Carnival and the national tour of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Jarrow, an Obie Award-winning writer for the stage, film and television, is the principal songwriter for the band. He's also currently writing the book for the upcoming The SpongeBob Musical and "The Drop," a drama series for the CW television network.

Sky-Pony promises "lush, lyrical, often cheeky indie-pop with a healthy dose of theatrics. They incorporate costumes, choreography and projections into their high-energy live shows. Rock concert meets performance art meets burlesque, you might say."

The octet also features Kevin Wunderlich (guitar), Eric Day (bass), Perry Silver (drums), David Blasher (cello) and Kristin Piacentile and Jessi Suzuki (backing vocals).
