Fifty-four stars will have 54 seconds to sing a tune at Feinstein’s/54 Below in an unusual concert titled 54/54/54 scheduled for—when else?—5/4/18.
Producer and director of the event Philip Romano told Playbill that Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin), Tony nominee Alex Brightman (School of Rock), and Lesli Margherita (Matilda) are already lined up for the event, which takes place, yes, five months and four days from today.
Romano said the performers will sing a variety of songs, “everything from musical theatre, to pop, to rap, and more, including some people performing original songs.” It’s billed as the longest setlist in Feinstein’s/54 Below’s history.
