Tony Awards Erich Bergen Will Host First Impressions Cam at 2023 Tony Awards

The actor-producer will be the first to speak to Tony winners backstage after they give their acceptance speeches.

Actor-producer Erich Bergen will host the First Impressions Cam at this year's Tony Awards, set for June 11 at United Palace in Washington Heights. Presented by City National Bank, the cam will place Bergen as the first person that this year's winners talk to after accepting their awards, with the interviews streaming on the Tony Awards YouTube channel and social platforms.

“The Tony Awards is thrilled to continue its valued partnership with City National Bank,” say American Theatre Wing President and CEO Heather Hitchens and Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin in a statement. “City National’s loyal support and friendship to the arts, entertainment, and Broadway communities allows us to bring the best of Broadway to audiences in new and exciting ways year after year at The Tonys.”

Winners will be named in a starry ceremony at Washington Heights' United Palace Theatre June 11. The Tony Awards: Act One, a 90-minute pre-show of live and exclusive content, will stream on Pluto TV beginning at 6:30 PM ET, with hosts and further details to be announced. The main awards ceremony will follow at 8 PM ET, hosted by West Side Story Oscar winner Ariana DeBose. The awards portion will broadcast live on CBS, and stream live (for premium-level subscribers) via Paramount+. All Paramount+ subscribers will have on demand access to the broadcast beginning June 12.
