Riding Shotgun in Concert, a live performance of the songs from the upcoming independent film Riding Shotgun, will be presented September 13 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM in the Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café.
The evening features the talents of Tony nominee Elizabeth A. Davis (Once, 1776), Tony nominee Will Chase (Nashville; The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Kiss Me, Kate), and Don Scardino (Godspell, 30 Rock). The artists are backed by The Catriona Walsh Band, including John Miller on bass, Kevin Ramessar on guitar, Andy Ezrin on piano, and Rich
Mercurio on drums.
Original songs for the film were penned by Scardino and Davis.
The film, written by Dana L. Williams, to be directed by Scardino, tells the story of Jake (Stephen Lang), who has been on the road with his dog Ridley since the death of his wife 10 years ago. With Ridley riding shotgun, he starts driving for a limo company, and one rainy night picks up singer-songwriter Catriona Walsh (Davis), who is doing a small road tour.
Riding Shotgun will not go into production until the WGA and SAG-AFTRA contract issues are resolved.
