The Peccadillo Theater Company will present a staged reading of Dan Wackerman's new play Uncle Ted: Scenes from the McCarrick Report June 16 at 2 PM at Theatre at St. Clement's.

Directed by Michael Parva, the cast will be led by Edward James Hyland (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde) with John Fitzgibbon, Daren Kelly, Robert Verlaque, Kersti Bryan, Jonathan Brody, Jim Schubin, Michael Castillejos, John Mahanna, Haden Bercy, Luke Cawley, and Tony Triano.

Based on the Vatican's 2020 report on the defrocked Archbishop of Washington, D.C., Uncle Ted tells the story of Theodore McCarrick's rise to power in the Roman Catholic Church while grooming and abusing dozens of young men and boys. The play employees verbatim testimony from the report.

The reading will benefit SNAP: the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, a support and advocacy organization for survivors of religious and institutional sexual abuse.
