The gala will feature performances from new 2022-23 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.

The Drama League's 2022 fall gala, titled Embrace The Season: A Drama League Celebration, will be held at City Winery October 17. The evening will feature sneak peek performances from the new musicals of the 2022-23 Broadway and Off-Broadway season, as well as highlights from recent seasons.

The program will be directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Mothers and Sons, Next Fall), and The Broadway Sinfonietta will serve as the house band.

Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served. The dress code is black tie optional, with festive cocktail attire encouraged.

The gala will feature event production by Ali Skye Bennet, production management by Teresa Cruz, stage management by Karen Schleifer, music supervision by Macy Schmidt, assistant direction by Tai Thompson, second assistant direction by Andrew Coopman, and assistant stage management by Joanna Muhlfelder. Beethovan Oden is the announcer.

The Drama League has been an artistic resource for directors and theatre makers since 1916. The fall gala will coincide with the presentation of its annual Arts Ally Award, given to those who strengthen the foundation of the arts in the United States. The 2022 honoree is Caiola Productions, a New York-based production and investment company that is responsible for the revivals of Company and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as The Inheritance and Dear Evan Hansen.
