All Things Equal–The Life and Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, penned by Tony winner Rupert Holmes (The Mystery of Edwin Drood),
launched a national tour in October 2022 at St. Petersburg's Free Fall Theatre.
The play will head out for a second season beginning November 1 at the Main Stage Theatre in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The tour is currently scheduled to continue through May 2024 with stops in Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Illinois, California, Colorado, and more.
The play, which presents an intimate portrayal of late Supreme Court
Justice Ginsburg, stars Michelle Azar under the direction of Laley
Lippard.
"In creating this play about her richly-lived life and hard-fought
struggles, I came to ever more deeply marvel at her strength, tenacity,
sly wit, and compassion," said Holmes in an earlier statement. "Our play
also reveals the love song that ran through her remarkable life and
shares the music that was her giddy delight. All Things Equal offers
each theatregoer the chance to better know this woman, her yearning for
equality, and her love for this nation's precious institutions."
The production also has set design by Tom Hansen, lighting design and video projections design by Mike Billings, costumes by Devon Spencer, sound design by Shaughn Bryant and Claudia Martinez, props by Brenda Scott, casting by Mark Paladini, music supervision by Teressa Jennings, and technical direction by Rocky Noel.
Chris Powich is the stage manager. Scott Stander produces; Rita McKenzie is the associate producer.
