Roundabout Theatre Company has announced its initial slate of programming for the 2023-24 season. The Broadway season at the American Airlines Theatre will include one world premiere and one revival, with an additional production to be announced. Three new plays will make their world premieres at Roundabout's two Off-Broadway venues.

Tony nominee Danny DeVito will return to Broadway, starring alongside his daughter, Lucy DeVito, and Ray Anthony Thomas in a new comedy I Need That by Theresa Rebeck (Bernhardt/Hamlet). The play centers on Sam (Danny DeVito) who is facing government eviction from his home if he doesn't clean up the property. DeVito previously appeared on the boards in the 2017 Roundabout production of Arthur Miller's The Price. This will mark the Broadway debut for Lucy. Tony nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel will direct the world premiere, set to launch the season in October 2023 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Tony-winning director Kenny Leon will helm the revival of Home by Sam-Art Williams. A selection of Roundabout’s Refocus Project, the coming-of-age story was originally staged by the Negro Ensemble Company in 1979. Home will run at the American Airlines Theatre in spring 2024.

The Off-Broadway season at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre will include two world premieres. The Refuge Plays by Nathan Alan Davis will begin in September 2023 under the direction of Patricia McGregorJonah by Rachel Bonds and directed by Danya Taymor will be scheduled for spring 2024.

York Walker's Covenant will premiere in October 2023 at the Black Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. Tiffany Nichole Greene will direct the Roundabout Underground production.

Additional dates, casting, and creative teams will be announced soon. Subscription tickets are currently on sale at RoundaboutTheatre.org.
