The Cruel Intentions musical will play London's The Other Palace in 2024. The '90s musical based on the cult classic 1999 film is set to begin performances January 11, 2024 for a 14-week run.
Created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble, Cruel Intentions features songs by hit '90s artists such as Britney Spears, Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, TLC, NSYNC, R.E.M, and more. It follows two step-siblings in Manhattan who make a bet with each other, but become tangled in a web of secrets and deception.
Casting will be announced at a later date. The creative team will include director Jonathan O’Boyle (Pippin, Aspects of Love) and choreographer and associate director Gary Lloyd (Heathers, Carrie the Musical). The London premiere is produced by Bill Kenwright.
The show premiered in Los Angeles in 2015, later playing a New York pop-up, Off-Broadway, a U.S. tour, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
