Moongate Productions will present a workshop presentation of A Little More BlueChristine Toy Johnson's solo play with music, February 3 in Washington Heights.

Johnson will also star under the direction of Bruce Johnson. The play includes original guitar music, written and performed by Lisa Liu, and songs by Johnson and Bobby Cronin, among others. 

Winner of the inaugural Alvin Epstein Memorial Prize for Solo Performance, A Little More Blue tells the story of an Asian American woman who discovers, upon her father’s passing, how his immigrant journey inspired her to keep repainting the big picture of her life through fighting for justice in the arts. 

Currently appearing in the national tour of Come From Away, Johnson's Broadway credits include The Music Man, Grease!, and Chu Chem and the Off-Broadway productions of Merrily We Roll Along, Pacific Overtures, Balancing Act, Crane Story, Falsettoland, Philip Goes Forth, and more.
