Between The Lines, the new musical based on Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer's novel of the same name, opened Off-Broadway at the Tony Kiser Theater July 11.
The cast stars Arielle Jacobs as Delilah, Julia Murney as Grace/Queen Maureen, Jake David Smith as Prince Oliver, Vicki Lewis as Ms. Winx/Jessamyn Jacobs/Mrs. Brown/Kyrie, Hillary Fisher as Allie/Princess Seraphima, Will Burton as Frump/Ryan, Jerusha Cavazos as Janice/Marina, John Rapson as Dr. Ducharme/Rapskulio, Wren Rivera as Jules/Ondine, and Sean Stack as Martin/Troll/Dad/Delivery Person. Heather Ayers, Dan Hoy, Martin Landry, and Aubrey Matalon serve as understudies.

Between the Lines follows outsider and new-kid-in-school Delilah, who turns to her favorite book where she feels heard and understood. But reality and fantasy begin to blur together when the hero of the book begins to interact with her.
Directed by Jeff Calhoun, the work features a book by Timothy Allen McDonald with a score by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson, choreography by Paul McGill, and orchestrations and arrangements by Gregory Rassen. Also serving on the creative team are music director Daniel Green, scenic designer Tobin Ost, costume designer Gregg Barnes, lighting designer Jason Lyons, sound designer Ken Travis, projection designer Caite Hevner, and hair and makeup designer J. Jared Janas.
