Today's World Theatre fact comes from across the pond. This weekend, we celebrate two incredible icons that have their birthday on March 22: Stephen Sondheim, the “titan of American musical,” and Andrew Lloyd Webber, “the most commercially successful composer in history" (per the New York Times). Both composers have a vast collection of iconic musicals that have played around the world. Plus, from a Paris opera house to a weekend in the Swedish countryside, a pie shop in London to a sheep farm in the Middle East—both of these theatre giants have taken us to places near and far.
To commemorate the unofficial International Sondheim/Webber Weekend, Playbill Store is providing discounts to stickers featuring this iconic duo and their work.
