Cabaret & Concert News Caissie Levy to Open Out of the Box Theatrics' Broadway at the 154 Cabaret Series

The cabaret series will be held at OOTB's new home at 154 Christopher Street.

Caissie Levy

Out of the Box Theatrics announced that Caissie Levy will open the company's Broadway at the 154 Cabaret Series. The performance will be held December 13 at OOTB's new home at 154 Christopher Street (formerly the New Ohio Theatre).

Levy was recently seen in the London premiere of Next to Normal at Donmar Warehouse. On Broadway, she has taken on roles including Eva in Tom Stoppard's Leopoldstadt, Elsa in Frozen, and Rose in the 2021 revival of Caroline, or Change

The concert, titled Caissie Levy–Homecoming, will feature a set of Levy's theatre favorites, and may include some holiday tunes. The Broadway at the 154 Cabaret Series is an initiative dedicated to bringing Broadway artists downtown for intimate concerts.

Out of the Box Theatrics was founded in 2016 by Flemming, a legally blind artist, to create space for historically underrepresented artists. The company aims to challenge audiences' expectations and create a more equitable theatre industry through innovative, site-specific productions, and inclusive casting. When the New Ohio Theatre closed its doors, OOTB was selected to take over programming at the Christopher Street location.
