16 "Visible Ink" stories will be brought to stage by film, TV and stage actors such as Javier Ignacio (Side Show), Kristine Bendul (Cinderella), Marva Hicks (Motown: the Musical) and An American in Paris choreographer Nathan Madden among others. Now in its seventh year, "Visible Ink" empowers patients as well as their families and caregivers with an outlet to express themselves through writing. Participants partner with experienced writing mentors who provide encouragement and guidance through the creative process. Since 2008, more than 1,000 patients have enrolled in the program and received mentorship from more than 150 authors, poets and other prolific writers.
