News Broadway Stars Open Center for At-Risk Kids in Madagascar Broadway stars Bryce Pinkham and Lucas Caleb Rooney have found a home for their charity organization, Zara Aina, dedicated to helping at-risk kids in Madagascar through theatrical story-telling techniques and performance.

Located in Ankorodrano, a neighborhood with many underprivileged youth, the new center will provide acting, English and art classes and will offer the children much-needed medical and educational assistance.

"We are overjoyed to find this semi-permanent space as we search for land to build a fully equipped center to serve more children," said Rooney in a press statement.

Zara Aina was co-founded by the two actors in 2012. It "is devoted to "helping at-risk children expand their capacity for achievement through theatrical performance and storytelling. It works with partners to develop sustainable programs that empower and change lives" reads the mission statement. In 2013 the duo took 12 American artists to the country to help create a traveling theatre show with a group of 14 Malagasy children.

The new space, to be called Zara Aina @ the ViMa Center for Kids, is being funded by the local Malagasy real estate company Vision Madagascar (ViMa) Group, which has agreed to pay the rent on the space for the first year of use.

Pinkham recently returned to his Tony-nominated role in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and Rooney was last seen on stage in the Classic Stage Company production of Doctor Faustus.
