Broadway Licensing Group is adding three titles to its catalogue via its Playscripts imprint, which offers low-budget plays to educational and other non-professional theatre companies.

Leading the new crop is Junie B. Jones: Toothless Wonder, written by Allison Gregory and based on Barbara Park's book series. In this entry, Junie faces the horrors of having a toothless grin. Written for a cast size ranging between seven and 17, the work is the latest in Gregory's stage adaptations of the beloved character, following Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook and Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!. Toothless Wonder has already had a handful of stagings, including at Magik Theatre in San Antonio, Texas, and Main Street Theater in Houston, Texas.

46 Plays for America's First Ladies is also joining the library, offering work penned by Genevra Gallo-Bayiates, Sharon Greene, Chloe Johnston, Bilal Dardai, and Andy Bayiates. The plays offer another perspective on American presidential history, sitting alongside companion title 45 Plays for 45 Presidents, written by the same team and also part of the Playscripts imprint.

Lastly, the company has acquired Marcia Kash and Douglas E. Hughes' Deadline, a new work following two writers trapped in an unfinished play as they attempt to solve a murder aboard a Caribbean yacht. Described as a mix between Clue and Knives Out, the play enjoyed a run in 2022 at Ohio's The Human Race Theatre Company.
