The 7 PM concert is hosted by Julie Halston, who joined the cast of Roundabout's Anything Goes earlier this year.
Directed by Carl Andress, the evening features Tony nominee Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon), Robert Creighton (Anything Goes), Lindsay Mendez (Godspell), Betsy Wolfe (Encores! Merrily We Roll Along), Tony nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, Memphis), Heidi Blickenstaff (The Addams Family, [title of show]), Julia Murney (Queen of the Mist, Wicked) and Darlene Love (Hollywood Bowl's Hairspray). Seth Rudetsky conducts his seminar on the art of Broadway belting. Jesse Kissel is musical director.
Halston is a spokeswoman and activist for Pulmonary Fibrosis ever since her husband (broadcaster Ralph Howard) was diagnosed with the disease in 2008.
All funds go toward The Michael Kuchwara Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, Education and Advocacy in honor of the late and beloved Associated Press theatre critic and reporter.
Doors open at 5 PM with curtain time promptly at 7 PM.
Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street. For more information, email Broadway@pulmonaryfibrosis.org or call (312) 239-6636. The event is sold out; however, there is a waiting list available at bit.ly/broadway2012. [There is a $10 food/drink minimum per person.]
