"Bobby Child is the rich son of a banking family with dreams of getting on the Broadway stage in the Zangler Follies," according to press notes. "When he auditions for Mr. Zangler and fails miserably, a dejected Bobby is given two options – marry his overzealous fiancée or foreclose on an abandoned theatre in Deadrock, Nevada. Upon arrival in Nevada, Bobby instantly falls in love with the town’s postmistress and decides he must stay and save the theatre. He convinces the residents he is a big-time Broadway producer and the denizens of the once sleepy town come alive with the prospect of a big show comprised of fancy showgirls and local townsfolk. Mistaken identities and comedic plot twists ensue as a bevy of characters converge on Deadrock for a toe-tapping, high-energy musical comedy full of classic songs and thrilling dance numbers."
The creative team includes Deanna Dys (choreographer), Ken Clifton (music director), Michael Anania (scenic designer), Julie Duro (lighting designer), Kurt Alger (costume/wig designer), Craig Beyrooti (sound designer), Mark Johnson (stage manager) and Amy Bertacini (assistant stage manager).
