Liz Byrne, who was seen in Broadway’s Baby It’s You, appears February 3 at Feinstein’s/54 Below in Manhattan, where she is joined by Tony Award winner Beth Leavel.
At the 9:30 PM show, Byrne will “perform her favorite tunes as she celebrates individuality and performers that have inspired her… from Bette Midler to Beyoncé!” according to press notes. “Known for her ability to sing any style, this postmodern show will include mashups, musical theatre, contemporary pop, and oldies.”
Christopher Rice (The Book of Mormon), who created the Tappy video series and a Broadway tribute to Debbie Reynolds, directs the solo show with music direction by Drew Wutke.
“From when I was a kid, I’ve been completely obsessed with Liza, Judy, and Barbra,” added Byrne. “While my friends were seeing Britney Spears in concert, I was seeing Bette Midler! Ever since then, I’ve always dreamed of having my own show with a fabulous set list, jazz band, and fierce girls backing me up.”
Feinstein’s/54 Below is located at 254 W. 54th Street. For more information and tickets, visit 54Below.
