EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman) have signed on to contribute original music to the upcoming film adaptation of Dr. Seuss' final book Oh, the Places You'll Go!, Variety reports.
The movie is set to release March 17, 2028, with Wicked film director Jon M. Chu and Jill Culton co-directing. Rob Lieber is writing the screenplay, with J.J. Abrams and Gregg Taylor producing.
Pasek and Paul received widespread recognition as composers for 2017 Best Musical winner Dear Evan Hansen, for which the pair also received a Tony Award for Best Score and Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Musicals for which the duo contributed music and lyrics also include Edges, James and the Giant Peach, Dogfight, and A Christmas Story: The Musical.
For the screen, Pasek and Paul have contributed material for Smash, Only Murders in the Building, La La Land, The Greatest Showman, the Dear Evan Hansen film adaptation, and more. They achieved EGOT status last year when their song "Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It?” from season three of Only Murders in the Building received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. In addition to their aforementioned Tony and Grammy wins, the pair earned an Oscar in 2017 for "City of Stars" from La La Land.
As previously reported, the composing duo will also contribute original music "in the vein of Barbie" for Apple's upcoming film adaptation of the computer game The Oregon Trail.
