David Alpert (Broadway’s If/Then, A Trip to Bountiful, artistic director of headline programming at BroadwayCon) directs and produces the series that supports Gilana’s Fund, which provides funding for educational programming “promoting acceptance and understanding of our communities, each other, and ourselves.”

The 2018 Gilana’s Fund recipients—the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, ThinkGive, Active Minds, and the Garden State Mosaic—will also be celebrated during the event.

Living for Today was created by director-producer Alpert in 2008, a year after the passing of his sister Gilana Alpert at the age of 26. To date, Gilana’s Fund has helped raised nearly $80,000, and benefited numerous non-profit organizations nationwide.

“After ten incredible years of Living for Today, I’m excited to look forward to the next decade of this concert series,” said Alpert. “We’re living in a world where the struggle for inclusion and acceptance is not close to being over, and it’s my mission that the money raised from these concerts which benefit Gilana’s Fund, continues to help those organizations on the front lines of this important battle. When we come together and focus on changing the world for the better, we’re unstoppable.”

Tickets are $15, $25, and $100 (includes an after-show champagne toast with the company) and are available at joespub.com.
