Oscar winner and Broadway alum Ariana DeBose has landed her next project. According the Deadline, the West Side Story actor is set to executive produce and star in the upcoming movie Two and Only, written by Latina and LGBTQ+ writer Jen Rivas-DeLoose.
The movie has been described as a bisexual, Latinx twist on the 1997 rom-com My Best Friend’s Wedding. The Tony nominee commented on her new role on Twitter, writing, "Let’s try a rom com! So excited to take on a new challenge and learn a thing or two about producing."

The Golden Globe and SAG winner was last seen as Anita in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story, following small screen appearances in Ryan Murphy's movie adaptation of The Prom and Apple TV's musical comedy Schmigadoon!. Her Broadway credits include starring as Disco Donna in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, Jane in A Bronx Tale the Musical, and the bullet in Hamilton.
It was last reported that she is heading for the Sony Spider-Man Universe. The Hamilton actor was cast in the upcoming 2023 superhero movie Kraven the Hunter as the superpowered villain Calypso.

Additional upcoming projects include starring in Apple's Argylle, starring Henry Cavill and Samuel L. Jackson, and the space thriller I.S.S, alongside stage and screen actor Chris Messina.
Two and Only will be produced by Sad Unicorn’s Randall Einhorn and Jeremy Stern and overseen by Scott Strauss and Giselle Johnson for Screen Gems.
