The initial lineup of performers has been announced for the March 10 Broadway’s Leading Ladies concert, featuring an all-star
cast of Broadway's women performers at The
Town Hall in New York City.
PBS will film the upcoming evening, which is set to include the talents of Tony winners LaChanze, Jennifer Holliday, Lindsay Mendez, and Jessie Mueller; and Tony nominees Kate Baldwin, Judy Kuhn, and Jennifer Simard. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
The performers will be backed by the American Pops Orchestra, conducted by Luke Frazier. The concert will air on PBS on a date to be announced in 2025.
“PBS is delighted to partner on such an extraordinary and important evening, celebrating the best of Broadway’s leading ladies. PBS strives to present the best of the arts, sharing with the nation the importance of this incredible and uniquely American art form, musical theatre,” said Jerry Liwanag, vice president of fundraising strategy and programming for PBS, in an earlier statement.
PBS, in partnership with No Guarantees and Nouveau Productions, will produce the concert. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Women’s Health Initiative at the Entertainment Community Fund, founded by the late Phyllis Newman.
