Awards season continues on with the NAACP Image Awards, which were held February 25.
Designed to honor artists of color in motion pictures, television, music, and literature, this year's ceremony was held in Pasadena, California, and hosted by Queen Latifah.
A swath of theatrical talent was honored, including Angela Bassett, who received three awards; Entertainer of the Year, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her work on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the television show 9-1-1.
Viola Davis received both Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her work on The Woman King, and Outstanding Literary Work – Nonfiction for her memoir Finding Me, and former Dreamgirl Loretta Devine received Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her television work on P-Valley. Keke Palmer won Outstanding Character Voice Performance – Motion Picture for her performance in Lightyear.
