News Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski Eloped The actors—who met at Second Stage and are expecting their first child—took off into the country and “just did their thing.”

During a recent visit to The Late Late Show with James Corden, Thomas Sadoski told host Corden that he and former fiancé Amanda Seyfried eloped the previous weekend. The two actors—who are expecting their first child—met while starring opposite each other in the 2015 Second Stage production of The Way We Get By and later appeared in the movie The Last Word together.

The news was revealed when Corden noticed Sadoski’s wedding ring on the show.

“We eloped. We took off into the country with an officiant and just did our thing,” said Sadoski. “It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. Just the two of us talking to each other... She’s the person that I love, admire, and respect most in the world.”

The two confirmed their engagement in September last year.

Seyfried is known for playing Cosette in the feature film version of Les Misérables, Karen from Mean Girls, and Sophie in the film version of Mamma Mia! Last on Broadway in Other Desert Cities, Sadoski earned a Tony nomination for his performance in reasons to be pretty and was a series regular on HBO’s The Newsroom.
