Tony Award winner Alice Ripley will sing “Who Will Love Me As I Am?” from Side Show and “As If We Never Said Goodbye” from Sunset Boulevard as part of her April 1 concert show at Green Room 42 in New York.
The concert will feature original works of her own as well as songs from her career. Ripley, who last appeared on Broadway in 2016’s American Psycho, was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Violet Hilton in Side Show, and won the 2009 Tony as Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Diana in Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey’s Next to Normal. Her other Broadway credits include Janet in The Rocky Horror Show, Molly in James Joyce’s The Dead, Fantine in Les Miserables, and Betty Schaefer in the original Broadway cast of Sunset Boulevard.
Tickets for the 8 PM concert cost $40, with no food/beverage minimum, and can be ordered at Thegreenroom42.com. Greenroom 42 is located at 42nd Street and Tenth Avenue inside the Yotel.
And Ripley’s fans don’t have to wait much longer to see her as Kathleen on the new half-hour TV comedy Girlboss, which premieres April 21 on Netflix.
