Tony Yazbeck of On the Town shared the Male Dancer award with Robert Fairchild of An American in Paris. Those same two shows shared the Best Choreographer award: On the Town's Joshua Bergasse tied with American in Paris's Christopher Wheeldon.
It was a big night for the Fairchild family. The same night, Robert's sister Megan of On the Town accepted a Theatre World Award for outstanding Broadway debut.
The annual Astaire Awards, which honor the best in New York dance and choreography, were presented at the Skirball Center in Greenwich Village.
The ceremony featured performances from On the Town, Finding Neverland, New York Spring Spectacular and more.

As previously reported, Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey (Cabaret) was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Oscar winner Harvey Weinstein (Finding Neverland) was honored for his Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre and Film.
The Astaire awards are presented by producer Patricia Watt and The Douglas Watt Family Fund for the Performing Arts.
