Performances begin at Theatre Calgary October 16.

It seems only yesterday that Les Miserables marked its 10th anniversary on Broadway with a controversial make-over and gala celebration, but that was almost a year ago: March 12, 1997. The show's most recent landmark came Feb. 20, when Les Miz -- Broadway's fourth Longest running musical -- gave its 4500th performance.

Four world premieres and two European premieres are among planned productions.

Anne-Marie Duff, Rosalie Craig and Charles Edwards, all of whom have appeared regularly at the National in the past, will each return in new productions in the fall. Dates have also been announced for the world premieres of plays by Wallace Shawn and Caryl Churchill, and the transfer of Damon Albarn and Moira Buffini's new musical wonder.land that is currently running at Manchester's Palace Theatre.
