Born Nov. 14, 1935, in Great Kills, Staten Island, New York, he was raised in Nebraska. He joined the cast of the Broadway musical Camelot in the early '60s, playing a couple small parts and understudying Robert Goulet. His other Broadway credits include The Student Prince in 1963 and the Stephen Sondheim musical Anyone Can Whistle in 1964.
He moved to California in 1985 to act in television and films. His film credits include "American Ninja" and "Lost."
He is survived by his wife, Carol, and two daughters from a previous marriage, Heather and Genevra.
